Darcy's Bridal Shower

The vanilla cupcakes with lemon filling with cream cheese icing and lemon shortbread cookies that I worked so hard on for Darcy's shower! I finally perfected the P's in the shortbread cookies in honor of Darcy's new last name, Praw!

Mom and I had so much fun planning all of the details with Laurie for the shower!

Butterscotch Scones

While I was home for Christmas, Meghan and I stopped at La Grande Orange to pick up some breakfast foods and coffee to bring over to Tricia and baby Ella. I had the most amazing butterscotch scone that morning, and I have been craving another one ever since! Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, being back in San Francisco I have not been able to satisfy that craving by stopping by LGO for another indulgence. So what did I do? I attempted to make them myself!

They turned out pretty darn good, although they were a little light and fluffy compared to the usually more dense texture I am used to for scones. Paul said he enjoyed them, and everybody at work complained that I didn't bring a whole batch when I packed one in my lunch for dessert one day. They weren't Tammi Coe's, but they did the trick of satisfying the craving, at least until my next trip home to Arizona.
